As the world celebrates the special ceremony of Eid- el- Fitr marking the end of the holy Month of Ramadan, I wholeheartedly join the Ummah in commemorating and observing this auspicious ceremony that is in tandem with the principles of Islam.

On this day, I preach unity, peaceful coexistence, patience, charity, tolerance and respect for one another without political, tribal or religious sentiment. We should freely share with the needy the little we can afford as we Mery with our families, associates and partners in progress.

This time calls for sober reflection and prayer for our dear state, country and the world at large. It is important we remember Kogi state in prayers so that those against her progress will be defeated. As a state we cannot progress in the face of bitterness, tribalism and disunity. Importantly, Kogi East, West and Central must unite for a common and justifiable purpose of her survival, development and progress.

May Almighty Allah accept our ibadah and grant us our distinctive and collective heart desires.
