The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kogi state, Hon.Leke Abejide has felicitated with Muslim Ummah in the state and across the world on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, with a call to them to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice, obedience and tolerance.

In his Sallah message to all the Muslim brothers and sisters in Kogi state and across the globe, the governorship candidate said the feast of sacrifice is a unique celebration that reminds the Muslim faithful about obedience, patience, faith, trust and sacrifice draws abundant blessings for Allah.

“Patience and sacrifice for a good or just cause are also fundamental to progress, the building of peaceful societies and human survival.

Saluting the Muslim Ummah in  Kogi state for their patience and sacrifices emulating the uncommon sacrifice of Ibrahim in obedience to Allah, and for his patience and sacrifice, Leke Abejide said that just as there is a reward for obedience in the Holy book, their patience and sacrifices in these especially difficult circumstances will not be ignored or overlooked by Almighty Allah, who is ever merciful.

Hon. Leke Abejide enjoined the Muslims to pray for peace to prevail in Kogi state, especially in the eastern part of the state for peace to reign, let us continue to promote peace, sacrifice and goodwill towards all.

He reminded the people of the state of the upcoming 2023 governorship election and urged them to ensure that they obtained their Permanent  Voters Card to enable them to choose wisely at the poll who would salvage the state from problems militating against its progress and development.

Hon. Abejide said; he will serve the people to restore peace and prosperity to our state.  “As you are aware, I have put myself forward under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the office of the Governor of Kogi State. I want to serve our people and take the state to higher heights. I seek the support of all men, women and youths of goodwill”.

Abejide enjoined all Kogites to support him so that he will effectively and efficiently deliver services to our people and safeguard their lives and livelihoods. It is a duty we owe our state and our people. While wishing all Muslim faithful in Kogi state and across the world a happy and successful Eid Mubarak celebration.
