In a rare show of unity, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State on Friday paid a visit to the member of the House of Representatives for Yagba federal constituency and chairman, House Committee on Customs and Excise, Hon. Leke Abejide.

The two leaders shared a warm and cordial meeting, discussing on issues of importance to the people of Kogi State. 

Governor Ododo eulogized Hon. Abejide, describing him as his “Senior Brother and Partner” in the progress of the state, acknowledging the hard work and dedication the federal lawmaker has made in his constituency and the state at large.

Ododo said he’s ready to work and partner with the lawmaker and other progressive minded people in his quest to move the state forward. He said he was in a hurry to develop the state and has identified the lawmaker as someone dedicated to improving the lives of his people.

The governor said he has identified key areas that needed development, such as infrastructure, education, and healthcare, stressing that he has established mechanisms to ensure transparency and accountability at the local level.

Ododo said party difference not minded, he will collaborate with Hon. ABEJIDE having identified him as progressive minded person’s, whose political aim of uplifting the people aligned with his own.

Hon Abejide and the Governor both made a commitment to support President Tinubu’s agenda for Nigeria, especially on the President thematic Hope Renewal agenda which include; improving the economy, creating jobs, and reducing poverty.
