The Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon Kingsley Fanwo, has charged the people whose parents are still alive to take care of them, satisfy them, make them comfortable and happy.

The Hon. Commissioner made this known while addressing pressmen during his father-in-law’s burial at his home town Takete Ide Amuro, today Friday 26th April, 2024.

Hon. Fanwo described his father-in-law, Late Pa Sunday Paul Atteh as a very jovial, humble, accommodating and loving person saddened that they would miss him.

“It is a very sad event to lose loved ones but you know it is a celebration of life. We thank God for the life he lived and we want to continue that legacy. I’m not just a son-in-law but a son and we learnt a lot from him. He was a very jovial person, even when he advised you on very important issues, he would still do it with jokes, so that you won’t feel bad. Late Pa Sunday Paul Atteh was a very jovial, very humble, very accommodating and very loving person. We would miss him a lot. My advice for the people that still have parents is to take care of their parents, do everything to satisfy their parents. They should do everything to make their parents comfortable and happy. It is very important.” said Hon. Fanwo.

During the Outing Service at The Apostolic Church Takete Ide Amuro, several family members and friends gave good testimonies about Late Pa Sunday Paul Atteh. One of the family members narrated how Late Atteh accepted him and a lot of others into the family in such away that people around could not specifically distinguish his biological children among the persons he accommodated emphasising that baba loved them equally and wanted progress and development for them all acknowledging Mrs Atteh for her unwavering love and support.

A childhood friend of Late Pa Atteh, Elder Samson Atteh, described him as a gentleman to the core, a man with a good heart as they lived as brothers from the same mother adding that he inherited those good traits from the father, making the good characters hereditary. He prayed that God’s protection would continue to be upon the children and the wife he left behind.

Daddy’s first child Mr Ojo Atteh described Late Pa Atteh as a jovial, caring, loving and accommodating father who cared for his wife, children, grandchildren, family members and friends.

Late Pa Sunday Paul Atteh is survived by a wife, children and grandchildren among whom is the wife of the Hon. Commissioner, Mrs Ruth Fanwo.

ln attendance were: the Member representing Mopamuro Local Government Area in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Olawumi Jacob, Member representing Yagba East Local Government Area, Hon. Emmanuel Obaro, Former Chairman Mopamuro LGA, Hon. Sunday Moses (Alumo), Former Chairman, Yagba East LGA, Hon. Pius Kolawole and many other political office holders.
