10TH NAT ASSEMBLY: Former Speaker, Kolawole Congratulates Sen Karimi, others

The immediate past Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Prince) Matthew Kolawole has congratulated Senator Sunday Karimi and other members of the 10th National Assembly on the successful inauguration held yesterday in Abuja.

This was contained in a press statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Olugbemi and made available to newsmen in Lokoja.

According to the statement, the former lawmaker said he has no doubt in his mind that Senator Karimi will perform well because of his experience, capacity and carriage, stressing that it is a new dawn for Kogi West.

He said though his quest to represent the good people of Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency was not realized at this point, he urged those who have the opportunities to justify the confidence reposed in them by providing qualitative representations which was part of his cardinal priorities that made himself to also contest.

Kolawole also congratulated other members especially those from Kogi State, urged them to work in unionism in order to bring dividends of democracy home, while felicitating with the new leadership of the 10th National Assembly, he appealed to them to make Nigeria first in all they will do for the period they are given opportunity to serve, pointed out that he believes Nigerians will give them maximum cooperation and support needed for them to succeed.
