Kogi Guber: Disregard Rumour of Merger With SDP – ADC Campaign Council

The campaign council of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, has dismissed the rumour that the party candidate, Leke Abejide has collapsed his campaign for the candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Muri Ajaka.

The ADC campaign council made this known on Friday following series of false statements circulating around the social media that Leke has collapsed structure for Muri.

The council in the statement released from his Lokoja Office, stated that with the ADC candidate’s acceptability across the nooks and crannies of the state, he has no reason to back out of the race now.

They said though, there have been overtures of political partnership to him and other candidates, but there was no merger, stressing that Leke Abejide stand the best chance to win the election.

“Our candidate, Hon. Leke Abejide had at many fora stated that the Lugard Assignment is more than me. He was critically analysed to lead the struggle; and with the field reports, our candidate, stood a better chance for the race.

“We can’t at this juncture jeopardized the ever-growing supports we have garnered across the three Senatorial districts, the goodwill of the ordinary voters who are ready to votes us and the sweat of many dedicated and devoted volunteers who work day and night because they are convinced about our plans to rescue Kogi State.

“for the umpteenth time, Hon. Leke Abejide has never and will never back out from the race, nor collapse his structure for any candidates. We have a strong guarantee that the positive efforts we’ve put in will yield positive result at the poll.

“We call on our supporters and the entire people of Kogi State to ignore the rumour. Our plane has taken off already, it cannot be halted mid-flight”
