Hon. Leke Abejide Mourns as Pa Joseph Owoeye passes on at 75.

The Member representing was Yagba Federal Constituency, Hon. Leke Abejide has expressed his heartfelt condolence to the entire Yagba people, Kogi indigenes, and family over the death of Pa Joseph Owoeye who passed away in the early hours of March 11, 2024.

Hon. Leke Abejide in his condolence message on Monday, stated that the Yagba elder statesman was an icon that will be greatly missed by all.

Abejide stated that Owoeye’s demise was a great loss not only to Yagba people but to the state at large, having served in several developmental capacities.

He described the late Owoeye as a man of peace and a great intellects, whose developmental politics was enviable.

“It is with deep sadness that I received the news of the passing of our father and Elder Stateman, Pa Joseph Owoeye, whose commitment to service to community, and the academia is worthy of emulation.

“Though we mourn as human, but we take solace in the fact that he lived a fulfilled life, with positive impacts on the lives of so many.

“We pray that almighty God uphold his family during a d after this morning period.”

Late Pa Joseph Owoeye who hail from Ilafin – Isanlu, headquarters of Yagba East council area of Kogi state retired as HOD from Kogi State Polytechnic. He died in a Lokoja Hospital at the age of 75.
