Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo has mourned the death of Chief Joseph Owoeye who died Tuesday 12th March, 2024.

Describing him as a passionate community leader and a foundation member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, Governor Ododo reflects on his positive impact on his community.

Chief Joseph Owoeye was a respected leader and a pillar of strength in Okun Nation. He was known for his wisdom, kindness, and unwavering commitment to serving others. His passion for social justice and community development inspired many, and his contributions to the society will not be forgotten.

Throughout his life, Chief Owoeye worked tirelessly to improve the living conditions of Okun people and indeed humanity. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and provide guidance to those in need. His leadership and dedication have left an indelible mark on communities, and his legacy will continue to inspire many for years to come.

Governor Ododo says this big loss is not only for the Owoeye family and Okun people alone but a monumental loss for the entire state.

Chief Owoeye hails from Ilafin-Isanlu in Yagba East local government area of Kogi state.
