It has come to our knowledge, the perception being spread across sections of the electorates in Kogi state that COOPPS has or is in the process of announcing a consensus from amongst opposition candidates for the November 11 Governorship Election in Kogi State.

We wish to state unequivocally, that this perception is not only false and misleading but a figment of the imagination of those spreading it.

For the purpose of emphasis, COOPPS seeks to foster cooperation and collaboration on issues of mutual interest amongst candidates of opposition parties and has no mandate from participating candidates to suggest let alone announce a possible consensus candidate.

Based on the aforementioned, we urge the general public to disregard in its entirety any news of an endorsement of any candidate as it is not a true reflection of the aims and objective of the collaborative effort being fostered by COOPPS.
