The African Democractic Congress (ADC) has denounced the report that its candidate, Hon. Leke Abejide has collapsed structure for the SDP candidate, Muritala Ajaka for the November 11 Governorship election in Kogi.
Chief Spokesperson for the ADC campaign council, Hon. Shola Adebola who made this known on Sunday said their was no iota of truth to the story been circulated in some circles.
He said Saturday’s visitation of the SDP candidate to the campaign office of Leke Abejide in Lokoja was just a “brotherly visit”.
“We make bold to say there was no time the issue of collapsing our structure was ever discussed. Muritala Ajaka visitation to our campaign office in Lokoja was just a mere brotherhood visitation – it is in continuation of previous discussion on how to rescue the state from the hands of despondent who have held the state by the jugular.
“As the leading candidate, we are never and will not collapse our structure for any Governorship candidate, but we are open to receive collaboration on how to ensure victory for our candidate in the November 11 poll.
“We don’t want innocent electorates to be misled by agent of political deceivers whose arm in trade is to peddle misinformation and disinformation to dissaude the people of the state from casting their votes for the right candidate – our candidate, Hon. Leke Abejide.”
The spokesperson urged supporters and followers of the party’s candidate to remain steadfast and resolute as they march towards victory come November 11, 2023.
