KOGI GUBER: OMEDE REVEALS PLAN OF HOW ADC GOVT WILL TACKLE FLOODING IN IBAJI

The Gubernatorial candidate of African Democratic Congress in the November 11 Governorship election in kogi state, Hon. Leke Abejide has reiterated his commitment  to ending the perennial water flood ravaging Ibaji Local Government area and other flood ravaged communities in Kogi East Senatorial District.

Abejide declared this at a courtesy call on Royal fathers in Idah federal constituency on Monday in Idah. 

The governorship candidate who was represented by his running mate, Dr Idris Omede who had a cordial interaction with Traditional Rulers and stakeholders from the Igala Kingdom.

According to Dr. Omede, Ibaji  people occupied strategic position in the state and such deserves a better place in the  scheme of  things in the state. 

Dr Idris Omede said  “once we come onboard, our  administration would attend to all flood ravaging areas in the state through conscious responsiveness to all the identified places affected in the state”. He assured residents of flood prone areas that they will come up with planned actions that will put an end to the natural disaster that leaves many people dead and countless people homeless.

 Dr Omede lamented that the state has suffered unduly  despite the resources coming from the federation specially meant for that purpose yet the areas have been allowed to wallowed in suffering associated with the flooding annually. 

The Deputy Governorship candidate  of African Democratic Congress further  called on the people of the state to to do a background check on all the those aspiring to lead the state in the fourth coming election so that the state would not fall into the wrong hands and continued in self inflicted pains. 

Omede noted that Kogi state is one of the states that deserves a better living  standard  because of its enlistment as an oil producing state in the country, instead of the suffering that the state has been subjected in the last 7 years. 

Speaking at the occasion, the state chairman of the ADC in the state, Hon. John Adaji assured the  people  that his party  programmes has human face and would implement programmes that every sector of the economy would be affected positively. He said  the party can only its Manifestos once elected into office by the electorates.
