Ahead of the November 11, Kogi Governorship election, the African Democractic Congress campaign council has stormed the Central Senatorial district of the state canversing vote for the party candidate, Elder Leke Abejide.
The campaign council on Monday hit Adogo, headquarters of Ajaokuta council area of the Senatorial district.
Ijbthe entourage was the DG campaign council who was the former Chairman of Adavi LGA, Suberu Adagu; the Chairman of the campaign Council, Barr. Shola Ojo; ADC state Chairman, Mr. ADAJI John, and the Chief of staff to the Candidate, Chief Shola Adebola amongst other party bigwigs.
The campaign trains met with critical stakeholders of the party and some Stakeholders across party lines, preaching the gospel of the party candidate.
The Chairman of the party, John Adaji urged Ajaokuta people to embrace the ADC candidate, said he has the capacity to turn the state around.
The Chairman campaign council, Shola Ojo said the people of the zone should judge their candidate based on his performance as a Lawmaker in Yagba Federal Constituency, said he will reciprocate same at the state level.
The DG campaign, Suberu Adagu who spoke to the people in Egbira language admonished them to see beyond ethnic line and vote for a candidate capable of effecting positive change in the state.
He expressed that various campaign strategies will be put in place as measures to ensure effective mobilisation for the party’s candidate for the door-to-door campaign and it will be commencing from the respective wards in all the local government areas of the state in no distance time
He said that they are preaching to electorate to gear up their minds for him as the right and reliable person that will not betray the party and the electorate if voted into power, he has proven that in all his service years as a member, house of representatives and committee chairman on custom and excise has been a loyal and honest servant.
He further assured the party members and admirers that we shall not abandon our campaign promises even as we engage all stakeholders on the way forward to ensure the progress of the state.
He submitted that he has this attributes, among other humane dispositions, make him an attractive choice to good people of Kogi central and across the 21 local government areas of the state who saw the need to bring him as their Governor at this important time, thereby creating a new history and record in the politics and governance of the state.
