The governorship candidates of the African Democratic Congress ADC in Kogi State, Hon. Leke Abejide felicitate with the Muslim faithful on the completion of this year’s Ramadan fast and celebration of Eid-el-fitr.

He expressed gratitude to Allah for removing all circumstances, and celebrates with all the Muslim ummah on the completion of this year’s fast, noting that the spiritual exercise and teachings had drawn them closer to Allah.

Abejide prayed that Almighty Allah will bless the efforts of the faith, worship and reward the endeavors of the Muslim faithful.

In a message of felicitation to the Muslim communities in Kogi State, Hon. Abejide praised the spirit of sacrifice, resilience and peace by the Muslim community during the fasting period.

Hon. Leke Abejide urged Muslims to keep hope alive and to continue to promote love and peace through religious tolerance saying development occurs only in an atmosphere of peace, mutual tolerance and understanding, therefore there is no alternative to peace.

While noting that Ramadan is a season of discipline and sacrifice, Abejide urged Muslims and adherents of other religions to live in love, peace, and harmony with one another as brothers and sisters.

“The prayers of the faithful are needed more than ever for God’s intervention in Kogi State therefore do not relent in prayers and religious harmony”.

On the occasion of this year’s celebration, I congratulate all Muslim ummah on the Eid-el-Fitr celebration and pray that Almighty Allah will accept our prayers, grant all our heart desires and make Kogi State better than ever.
