In what looks like hurricane sweeping across the 12 wards in DEKINA LGA in kogi state since the home coming of the Deputy Governor candidate of African Democratic Congress Dr Omede Idris the main Opposition parties have thrown the towels and collapsed their parties structure into African Democratic Congress in the area.
At a large gathering last night near his country home Odu, Leaders of the various Opposition parties made their decision known to the Dr Omede Idris.
According to their leaders ranging from APC, PDP, SDP ,NPP,and others. ‘We have followed your political antecedents, good works across the state in your public and private life and professional careers it’s speaks volumes its therefore needles to stand up against your person and your party in fourth coming Governorship election in the state
The 12 wards chairmen and their leaders as well as other associations, legion of ex service men,fowon,youths vanguard were part of the decamping ceremony.
Speaking at the large gathering, the state chairman of the party, Comrade John Adaji and some key leaders of the ADC in kogi state, praised their resolution to joined the party in their numbers and assured them of their places in the party. ‘You are no longer new members rather you are now part of the team and party going forward he assured.
He further reiterated the commitment of the party to ensure continuity in the search for people of various backgrounds including the big and small in the state.
Adaji further revealed that the on going collation of SS 11 students list was well thought out program by the party to alleviate the burden of the payment of WAEC fees for all categories of students in public institutions in the state.
The party chairman added that every single communities in the state will be touched by the party’s social services, our programme as a party does not know partisanship, we are main players in the state politics and congratulated the decampee for their courage and doggenes.
Comrade Adaji told the gathering not to be swayed by the antics of Opposition parties especially those parading as Ethnic agenda pushers. Where were they when the out going party refused to pay salaries and pension to the public servants in the local government areas in the state and in most cases when workers are paid its in percentages.
Accepting the decampee , the Deputy Governor candidate of African Democratic Congress in the kogi state in the fourth coming election Dr Omede Idris assured the decampee of protection against any form of oppression especially their security.
According to Dr Omede Idris we have taken notes of your concerns about the activities of the outgoing party in the state, ‘we will protect you in every way during and after the elections slated for Nov this year and beyond.
He announced to the gathering that the party was already compiling the list of widows, aged and hapless youths in the federal constituency with a view assisting them with tools that would take them out of poverty indexes in the next few weeks.
The Deputy Governor candidate reiterated the commitment of the Governorship hopeful of the party, Elder Leke Abejede to ending the self inflicted poverty in the state through proactive actions and programmes that would solve all the myrade problems affecting the people in the state.
According to the Deputy Governor candidate, our immediate concerns were the unveiling our team programmes to the public especially the ordinary people. We have already put in place a good workable programme that would return the state into a stable and better environment in the short-term and long-term growth. The state would witnessed tremendous growth in all ramifications in the shortest in office such that businesses in the state would rebound in lips and baund.. our commitment to the the people of the state would be a great departure from a near moribund collapsed of human resources and capital.
