ADC candidate, Leke Abejide promises to reconstruct Kabba- Ollle road within 100 days in office

Saddened by the hardship the people of Bunu district in the Kabba – Bunu local government area of Kogi state daily encounter as the main road leading to their communities is almost cut off, the ADC  governorship candidate, Leke Abejide has said if elected he would fix the road within his first 100 days in office.

The governorship hopeful made the pledge on Friday while he visited the paramount ruler and the Olubunu of Bunu, Oba Joseph Ikusemoro in his palace, in continuation of his campaign train to Kabba/Bunu LGA. 

Abejide who expressed worry why successive administrations in the state have completely abandoned the road which was first constructed in early 60s, said the road aside from linking major communities has a great economic benefits to the state.

The governorship candidate who came to seek for royal blessings from the royal father promised to transform the state, establish industries that will make the state an industrial hub in the country.

Responding, Oba Ikusemoro said his domain has always been abandoned by various administrations and listed some basic amenities like good roads, portable water, electricity, modern markets which his people are lacking.

He however said as royal father, they pray to anyone that comes their way and have no prefered candidate but urged  political gladiators to  eschew violence and play by the rule.

Abejide while addressing a mammoth crowd at a rally in Demonstration Primary school, Kabba urged the people to come en- mass and vote for the ADC in the November 11 governorship election.

He said as a lawmaker, he has touched lives of the common man in the street especially, widows, orphans and underprivileged under his various empowerment programmes and said if elected ,  he make a positive difference.

Abejide said if elected, non payment of workers’ salaries and gratuities of pensioners will become the thing of the past and that every community in the state will be provided with a pipe borne water.

He also promised to make kogi state the basket food of the nation as he would provide modern farming equipment to embark on  mechanized  farming that will provide employment opportunities for youths and women.
